I was born and raised in Upstate New York and spent 13 years in New York City. I currently live in Lebanon, NH with my wife and two daughters.

I received an M.F.A. in Photography from the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, and a B.A. in English from New York University.

I currently teach photography and digital media at Colby-Sawyer College in New London, NH.

I'm also a 46er.

Recently I've been trying to blog here. I used to blog at viewfrombaxter.net, but haven't in quite a while.

This site is the sole responsibility of me. I completely designed and coded it, and all the photographs on it are mine (unless otherwise noted). It is maintained with Movable Type and hosted at Pair. The blog is powered and hosted by Tumblr.
